American Asphalt & Grading is uniquely qualified to supply turnkey projects for subdivisions ( 60 to 600 lots). Our project managers have extensive experience in obtaining and overseeing the best qualified subcontractors to supply quality off-site improvements. This turnkey approach has allowed American Asphalt & Grading company's customers to build more homes, faster than their competition, and with a minimum of builder disruption. The efforts of our project managers have created many satisfied and repeat customers.
American Asphalt & Grading is one of the leaders in golf course residential and commercial grading for the Las Vegas Valley. In the last fifteen years AA&G has assisted in building and designing thirteen golf courses for some of the biggest developers in Las Vegas. They include Howard Hughes, Walters Golf, Del Webb, and The Lakes, LLC. For many of these courses AA&G met the challenge of completing these projects while leaving the native environment undisturbed.
AA&G also made all materials necessary to complete golf courses in house.
Residential
AA&G long ago made a commitment to meet every challenge for our residential clients that include Howard Hughes Corp., Del Webb, DR Horton, and Pardee Homes. That includes tackling the hardest rock in Las Vegas. We have introduced machines that can do the job like the 575 Komatsu, one of only five of the largest dozers in the world.
The materials in the Las Vegas Valley vary greatly in their soil conditions. This has challenged us to look “outside the box” at new and better refined methods of grading. Some of which include going to much larger sizes of equipment including the Hitachi 1800 mining shovel at 13 cubic yards a bucket as well as a large support staff of 992 loaders and triple 7 trucks.
Commercial Construction
American Asphalt &Grading Company has the experience and know-how to match the workforce, and the equipment, with the job. We offer a full range of services for commercial clients such as apartment complexes, shopping malls, entertainment venues and industrial parks. AA&G’s exacting standards apply to every job. Our range of site services includes curb and gutter, wet and dry utilities, and paving and striping. AA&G’s comprehensive offerings mean clients only need to call one contractor for site development, improvement, renovation, and maintenance.
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway
American Asphalt &Grading Company at Work
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a great example of the scale of work that we have accomplished in commercial construction. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway opened in 1996. The complex includes a 1.5 mile super speedway, 2.5 miles of FIA-approved course, paved and dirt track ovals and a 4,000 foot drag strip. Open-air grandstands seat 107,000 people on three levels with 148 VIP suites. AA&G moved over 4.5 million cubic yards of material over a 13 month period. We used 30 scrapers, 5 blades, 7 bulldozers, and 7 water pulls to get the job done. An average of 35,000 cubic yards of dirt was moved each day to keep the speedway construction on schedule.
